About Dr. Mary Louder

Mary Louder, DO is a double-boarded Osteopathic Physician (Integrative Medicine and Family Medicine) who practices medicine by supporting people on their own quest for health and wellness. “Any physician can find disease; healers find health and support the body’s innate capacity for healing. Pursuing wellness restores health and vitality at all stages of life.”

Mary was trained at Michigan State University and has been a practicing physician since 1993. Her focus now is on teaching, educating, and writing about healing and how the journey inward is the way forward. She believes that being first connected with ourselves and then with others brings the best joy and fulfillment in life. Additionally, she believes that we are emotional beings having a physical experience. Emotions are us, we are emotions, the physical body houses the emotions and then mirrors our feelings back to us by what we have come to know as symptoms and signs. Mary feels by identifying and understanding our emotions, our biology, and our backstory, we can learn how to connect and reconnect with ourselves and with others. We can be well and live well.

"When we are connected to ourselves, we can go anywhere"

Mary lives and works in Holland, Michigan with her husband, Andy and their labradoodle, Lucy. She enjoys bike riding, fly fishing, being in nature ~ woods ~ water ~ wonder, cooking, reading and deep resting.

About Michelle Mandala Nigh

Cairn Medical’s Mind and Nutrition Coach, Michelle Mandala Nigh, is ready to help support you with making the changes in your life that you want to see and feel. With Master’s degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (University of Montana) and Holistic Nutrition (Clayton College of Natural Health), Michelle has always been drawn to a holistic approach to health: mind, body, heart, and soul.

A Nationally Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), Michelle is a graduate of Headspace Coach Training Institute and also completed the Dr. Sears Health Coach program. Michelle comes to Cairn Medical from her work with the Headspace and Ginger apps as a Mental Health Coach, and from her own private coaching practice, which began with an online group she created called Nourishing Her Spirit. Nourishing Her Spirit’s mission was to empower spiritual women to create nourishing relationships with food, their bodies, and their inner voice.

Michelle was drawn to the mental health field after a long career with the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT), including 4 years on tour as a Tour Actor/Director, driving a little red truck all over the USA and Canada, putting on musicals in a week with children. While on the road with MCT, she loved seeing the growth and confidence kids can experience in a short time, guided by positive direction and step by step skill-building. Those enriching, informative years with MCT helped begin to shape the foundation of her approach to mental health.

Oftentimes, we know what needs to be done to improve our lives and why it could help, but HOW to get there remains elusive. Coaching is all about helping you take control of your HOW: step by step, choice by choice, moment by moment. Michelle congratulates you on taking the pivotal step toward taking control of your HOW with Cairn Medical.

Working with Dr. Louder

I work with patients/clients who don’t feel well and are seeking an accurate diagnosis or want to pinpoint what their symptoms mean.  They are frustrated, misunderstood, wiped out and they would like answers as to how to feel better, especially by finding the root cause(s).

What separates my services from other integrative physicians or functional medicine practitioners is that I am an expert in a trauma-informed approach to genomics and functional medicine, and I am highly intuitive. Because of that, my clients get accurate diagnoses and treatment plans that lead them on their health journey. They get their health and life back.

As a physician, I work with patients in a value-based care model through telemedicine or in-person visits of at least 30-60 minutes. I provide education and guidance as you journey toward cultivating and restoring your well-being in mind, body, and soul. I also offer a trusted second opinion while you maintain your current physician and other healthcare providers.

I meet with patients and clients in both telemedicine visits for those who live in Michigan or Colorado, and for those local to Holland, Michigan, in-person visits and services as well. While I do not participate in any insurance programs, an encounter form will be provided to you for your convenience upon request.
